ACCESSIBILITY

SKOOKUM is committed to being an accessible event and we are continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to festival amenities. Please contact us directly at accessibility@skookumfestival.com with any accessibility-related questions and/or needs – we will do all we can to ensure you have an awesome SKOOKUM experience!

Wheelchair Accessibility: The venue is navigable for people in wheelchairs with the assistance of our Accessibility team. There is a slight hill to the east of Brockton Oval that may be difficult for some; however the hill flattens closer to the north end of the venue.

Accessibility Center: Accessibility-related questions can be answered at our Access Center(s), which will be located at the Gate 1 and 3 entrances. This will be the location to register for accommodations. Additionally, you can recharge wheelchair batteries or other assistive technology requiring electrical recharging. If you need to store equipment such as oxygen tanks or insulin, Access Center staff will register the equipment and place in a safe location.

Accessible Viewing Areas: Raised viewing areas will be provided at our three main stages for those with mobility issues. Seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. To gain access you must visit the Access Center in advance to get the proper credentials. Be advised, space is limited and it’s advised you arrive 20-30 minutes before your desired performance.

Accessible Entrance: All entrances/exits are accessible.

ATMs & Concessions: The ATMs are fully accessible and located throughout the venue.

First Aid: First Aid locations are noted on the festival map. Professional medical staff will assist patrons with medical issues that arise. Our Access team will be guiding patrons to First Aid if a medical emergency arises.

Guided Tours for Patrons with Visual Impairments: We will be offering patrons with visual impairments a guided tour, available upon request. Please email accessibility@skookumfestival.com to schedule a tour.

Mobility devices: Power wheelchairs and three or four-wheeled scooters are allowed for use by people with mobility impairments. Two-wheeled scooters, golf carts, or all-terrain vehicles are NOT allowed anywhere on site.

Parking/Directions: A dedicated accessible parking area will be available for patrons with valid permits, but passes must be purchased in advance. During the event follow signage or ask traffic control staff how to access this area. Please note that there is a limited number of accessible parking spots and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Patrons who are Hard of Hearing: Options will be available for patrons who are hard of hearing, including Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) as well as SubPac Tactile Sensation Systems. Both options will be available at the Access Center.

Restrooms: Throughout the venue there will be sanitary, wheelchair accessible restrooms. To obtain access to these restrooms, please visit the Access Center.

Dietary Needs: For a list of available alternative food options, or if you require your own food items, please contact accessibility@skookumfestival.com.

Service Animal Policy: SKOOKUM has a strict no-pet rule, with exceptions only for service animals as specified by law.  Any animals which do not meet the legal standards will not be allowed into the festival grounds. All service animals must be registered at the Access Center.
